NOTE 4/20/15 - if you tried contacting us via the email link, I apologize that we never received it.  I did not have the email set up properly.  It should now be working, so please feel free to try to contact us again.  Thank you & apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This website is devoted to Roxie and all the pets going through kidney failure as well as the pet parents who are trying to help their babies.

The information provided here is from a layperson's standpoint.  I have no medical or veterinary training.  I have spent countless hours researching canine kidney diet on the internet, discussing it with our vet & reading food labels.  The information here is a summation of how I care for Miss Roxie, based upon that information, nothing more.  I am sharing it to help others who do not have the time or resources to do the research I have done but who are caring for a dog with kidney disease. I do not claim that anything here will enhance or prolong your pet's life and certainly it will not cure kidney disease. It's simply how I've cared for her & I believe that some of this care has prolonged her quality of life & therefore her life with us.

The information here is should not be construed as medical/veterinary advice or a substitute for it.  If your pet has renal failure or appears to, please take him to a trusted veterinarian.

One of the first signs of kidney failure is drinking more than usual.  If you notice this in your dog, please take him to a veterinarian to be checked for kidney disease.

Although I've tried to make this site as "smartphone friendly" as possible, it's best viewed on a larger tablet or a regular ol' computer.

I hope you find this information helpful & check back often, as I'm regularly adding new information.

Thanks for stopping by.
